A Word From Our Chapter President
First, I take this opportunity to thank you for your support, interest, and dedication to the brotherhood of Kappa Zeta Sigma Chapter, Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. As committed men to our motto, "Culture for Service, Service for Humanity," we are obliged to give back to the community that has given so much to Kappa Zeta Sigma. Since our birth as the first greek-lettered organization to charter in the International City, War Town, or whatever our community may be called, our function has been to better the world by improving our community, one event at a time.
Our purpose of commitment to the community has been served as we have initiated a wealth of service activities since 1988. Sigma brothers have been seen throughout the middle Georgia community lending a hand to make our world a better place. We have sponsored activities for adults and youth alike. Our Health Fair in the Macon County community brought doctors, nurse practitioners, and lay persons together to understand the importance of well being in our community. Certain debilitating diseases tend to plague the black community; however, research supports an active lifestyle, good diet, and spiritual connection to a higher power result in an abundant life. Sigmas are committed to helping others realize that we should support one another's stride for a well lived life.
The auxiliary organization, The Sigma Beta Club, is our way of committing ourselves to seeing that the African American Male's life will be impacted early on so that he can make an IMPACT on his community in a positive way. We mean it when we tell our parents and supporters that we will ensure that the young men in our Sigma Beta Club will graduate high school ready for work or ready to pursue higher education. We teach professionalism to our gentlemen and consistently meet with parents and other supporters to facilitate the daily lives of our Betas. Their experiences have been rewarding for all who have had the opportunity to see these gentlemen in action. Kappa Zeta Sigma Chapter is located in the city of Warner Robins; however, our chapter has no boundaries and we will travel to whatever area of the globe we have to travel to make a difference. Our programs of Bigger and Better Business, Education,and Social Action are the directives we follow for serving our community. Sigma men from all walks of life, school principals, engineers, technology specialist, educators, law enforcement, military, management, etc., comprise the make up of Kappa Zeta Sigma. We are a Silver Chapter in our fraternity and we expect to maintain and/or improve our status throughout the years. We are recognized in the state and nation for our commitment to service.
